Meet our Team

Dr. Gordon Wong began practicing optometry in 1991 and his current areas of emphasis include refractive surgery consultation, surgical co-management, and specialty contact lenses. Dr. Wong did his undergraduate work at the University of California at San Diego, Revelle College. After graduating, he served as both the chief resident of the Cornea and Contact Lens Department at the University Eye Institute and part-time academic and clinical faculty at the University of Houston College of Optometry in Texas.

Currently, Dr. Wong serves as co-clinical director of NVision Laser Eye Center of La Jolla. There, he is responsible for selecting optimal candidates for laser eye surgery, developing treatment plans with the surgeon, as well as coordinating the pre and post-operative care of the San Diego optometric affiliate network. He also serves as an expert examiner for the National Board of Examiners in Optometry and is a clinical preceptor for the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. 

In his spare time, Dr. Wong enjoys spending time with his wife, Joy, and his dog, Chloe. He also loves participating in all types of sports, particularly basketball, horseback riding, rock climbing, mountain biking, and snowboarding.

Dr. Samantha Daoud graduated from Western University of Health Sciences in 2023 and is passionate about providing exceptional eye care to her patients. During her undergraduate studies at San Diego State University, where she earned a degree in Chemistry with an emphasis in Biochemistry, Dr. Daoud developed a deep interest in optometry while volunteering at the San Diego Center for the Blind. This experience inspired her commitment to improving the lives of her patients through comprehensive vision care. She is experienced in treating a wide range of ocular conditions and has a special interest in managing dry eye disease, helping patients find relief and improved quality of life. 

Outside of the office, Dr. Daoud enjoys spending time with her husband, family, and friends, exploring new travel destinations, and practicing photography as a hobby. A devoted animal lover, she brings warmth and care to everything she does, both professionally and personally.
