Dr. Wong: Your Trusted Professional
Dr. Gordon Wong began practicing optometry in 1991 and his current areas of emphasis include refractive surgery consultation, surgical co-management, and specialty contact lenses. Dr. Wong did his undergraduate work at the University of California at San Diego, Revelle College. After graduating, he served as both the chief resident of the Cornea and Contact Lens Department at the University Eye Institute and part-time academic and clinical faculty at the University of Houston College of Optometry in Texas.
Currently, Dr. Wong serves as co-clinical director of NVision Laser Eye Center of La Jolla. There, he is responsible for selecting optimal candidates for laser eye surgery, developing treatment plans with the surgeon, as well as coordinating the pre and post-operative care of the San Diego optometric affiliate network. He also serves as an expert examiner for the National Board of Examiners in Optometry and is a clinical preceptor for the Pennsylvania College of Optometry.
In his spare time, Dr. Wong enjoys spending time with his wife, Joy, and his dog, Chloe. He also loves participating in all types of sports, particularly basketball, horseback riding, rock climbing, mountain biking, and snowboarding.
